Bree Chapin, Lisbon, Portugal 2024

Artist Bio: Bree Chapin is a painter, muralist studio artist based between New York City and Lisbon. Her portraiture and figurative work is known for its provocative themes and use of bright, ecstatic colors. Bree’s work has been exhibited regularly for over a decade at group and solo exhibitions in New York and beyond. Bree has also built a reputation as a creative curator and organizer of unique art events. She is the cofounder and coproducer of the New York Underground Art League with UP Magazine, a growing community of collaborative live art-making on New York’s Lower East Side.

Artist Statement: I am thrilled to join the project to paint murals in Lisbon for You Are Not Alone alongside other amazing and talented artists. I believe there is so much power in art to affect people’s minds and hearts. Life can be tough sometimes, and everyone feels a little lost once in a while. I love the idea of sharing a simple, kind reminder: “you are not alone” with vibrant urban art. I hope this artwork can bring a moment of connection and comfort to anyone who may need to feel it 💗.
